Chapter 1 of “The Saga Of Gray & Nameless”: The Start Of A New Friendship
-
-
Nameless and Gray met at the checkout counter of their neighborhood corner store. They chatted as they walked, and decided to grab some lunch. Their eyes were bigger than their stomaches!
-
-
Nameless invited Gray back to his place to show her the view from his window.
-
-
Gray couldn’t see over the top of the window ledge, so Nameless gave her a boost.
-
-
Gray gave Nameless a kiss to thank him for a lovely day.
-
-
Nameless said, “Hey, we should get out of the house and go for a bike ride!”
-
-
Gray responded, “Then…get it in gear, pal!” She fancied herself quite the pun pup.
-
-
After a long ride, Gray said, “I’m wiped out!” Nameless smiled, mischieviously. “I have just the thing to perk us up. CHOCOLATE!”
-
-
Nameless and Gray decided to rest and relax in the shade. Nameless had a strange feeling they were being watched…
-
-
“Look! It’s a full moon!”
-
-
The next morning, Nameless reflected, “Maybe it was the full moon, but I had some weird dreams last night. We were in the desert of Arizona…”
-
-
Which made Gray think. “I had a crazy dream too! We were in this weird Flashdance-meets-Italian-Vogue-magazine world…”
-
-
Perfect Sunday morning: NFL and take-out…
-
-
…but the Jets game wasn’t on cable. It’s just not the same watching it on a laptop. Nameless and Gray quickly became bored. But they found other ways to pass the time — like wrestling!
-
-
And playing Hide & Seek!
-
-
And pretending that they were in a rocket, flying to the moon!
-
-
Later, Gray and Nameless agreed: a night on the town was long overdue. Destination: Haight Street.
-
-
But Sunday nights, even in San Francisco, can be pretty quiet. Which — given the right company — can spell the perfect evening. Sometimes it’s nice to just walk and talk, walk and talk. They were relieved to finally find a badly-needed fire hydrant!
-
-
All that walking sure worked up an appetite for…”STEAK!!!”
-
-
After dinner, they ran into Nameless’ mysterious neighbor. Gray couldn’t help but note, “He’s really big!” Nameless replied, “Oh really? I hadn’t noticed.” But of course, he’d noticed.
-
-
It turned out that the big, “mysterious” neighbor was really just painfully shy. So Nameless and Gray invited him in for coffee and cake. A master of Feng Shui, he insisted on organizing the kitchen!
-
-
That night, Gray and Nameless talked about feeling so grateful for everything they had, which made them happy. But curiously, it also made Gray a little sad. So Nameless hugged her, until they fell asleep.
